Ranchi: Anti-Muslim violence erupted in the Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand, India, over the installation of speakers at a madrassa.
According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, a disagreement about the installation of loudspeakers in the madrassa escalated into stone-pelting and arson. Authorities reported that there were no injuries or deaths from the incident.
An FIR has been registered against local Muslims. Hazaribagh Additional Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar informed the media that three motorcycles and a car were set ablaze during the violence.
In previous incidents, the Hindu community had also raised objections over a “minaret structure” inside the madrassa.
