Peshawar: In a statement urging the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to prioritize the needs of its citizens, Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Engineer Amir Muqam, has called for a focus on alleviating public issues and avoiding the creation of further difficulties. This comes amid rising concerns about the government’s handling of key challenges in the region.

According to Radio Pakistan, Muqam’s remarks were in response to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s recent decision to postpone the long march. Muqam emphasized the need for the provincial government to concentrate on combating terrorism and addressing the pressing concerns of the public. He criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the provincial government for their lack of a definitive plan to tackle terrorism, which he identified as the most significant issue afflicting the province.
