AJK Prime Minister Launches Global Campaign for Kashmiri Freedom

Islamabad, In a significant move, the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, has unveiled an international initiative aimed at amplifying the Kashmiri freedom struggle on the global stage.

According to Kashmir Media Service, during a press briefing in Islamabad, PM Anwar-ul-Haq highlighted the critical role of the Kashmiri diaspora worldwide in advocating for the region’s liberation. He announced a comprehensive plan to conduct a series of conferences, seminars, and discussions throughout the United Kingdom and Europe, with the goal of bringing international attention to the dire situation in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The campaign is set to run from February 5 to February 11, with events planned in major cities including Birmingham, Manchester, London, Bradford, and Nelson.

The meeting also featured discussions with Raja Najabat Hussain, Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International, who stressed the importance of cooperation among political, social, and religious entities, as well as lawmakers and groups that support Kashmir. In response, PM Anwar-ul-Haq expressed his administration’s commitment to redoubling efforts to advance the Kashmiri cause, leveraging every possible avenue to hasten the pursuit of freedom for the territory under Indian control.

This global initiative aims to not only shed light on the struggles endured by Kashmiris but also to cultivate worldwide support for their indisputable right to self-determination. This announcement marks a pivotal step by the AJK government in seeking to galvanize international opinion and action against the ongoing suppression in occupied Kashmir.
