Muzaffarabad: During the 77th Foundation Day celebrations of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry stressed the incompleteness of the region’s independence as long as Jammu and Kashmir across the Line of Control remains under Indian control. The ceremony, attended by high-ranking officials and citizens, featured a flag hoisting by the President and Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, followed by a parade inspection. The President condemned India’s abrogation of Article 370 and 35A, labeling Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a violator of international norms and a suppressor of minority rights.
According to President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry emphasized the enduring struggle and sacrifices of Kashmiris to reject Indian domination and achieve their right to self-determination. The event was marked by significant attendance, including former leaders, government officials, and armed forces representatives, demonstrating a collective support for Kashmir’s quest for independence. The President called for intensified global advocacy for Kashmiris under Indian administration, urging unity and vigorous efforts towards the success of the Azadi Kashmir movement.
