NAROWAL: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has called upon young people to distance themselves from fake news, hate speech, and political polarization prevalent on social media platforms. Speaking at a ceremony held in Narowal, he emphasized the growing misuse of social media to disseminate misinformation and influence public opinion.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the significant challenges posed by fake news and societal polarization. He urged the youth to diligently verify information before sharing it and to refrain from spreading hatred or engaging in the use of abusive language online. The minister’s remarks underscore a pressing need for responsible social media use among the younger generation in addressing these issues.
