Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has urged the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across all sectors as a strategy to increase productivity and maintain global competitiveness.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ahsan Iqbal, while leading a meeting of the AI task force in Islamabad, highlighted the importance of adopting AI technologies to drive national progress. The meeting, held on Tuesday, focused on the role of AI in shaping the future economic landscape of the country.
During the meeting, Iqbal mentioned the Uraan Pakistan initiative, recently launched by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, as a key project aimed at setting the nation on a path of rapid and sustainable growth. He emphasized that the initiative’s primary goal is to synchronize future development efforts with export enhancement.
Iqbal also pointed out that boosting the country’s export capacity could be achieved by strengthening the IT and AI sectors. He stressed that leveraging these technologies would be crucial for improving the country’s competitive edge in the global market.
