Bajaur: Afghan Taliban forces targeted civilians in Pakistan’s Bajaur District, killing four brothers and injuring a child, according to Pakistan’s Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar. The attack involved artillery and mortar fire from across the border in Tabesta Letai, Salarzai area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Tarar stated on his social media account.
According to Radio Pakistan, the minister condemned the attack, describing it as a deliberate targeting of civilians. The victims were identified as Sajid, Ayaz, Riaz, and Muaz, all siblings, and a five-year-old child was seriously injured when their house was hit. The local population expressed strong condemnation and anger toward the Afghan Taliban regime, which Tarar referred to as a “Master Terror Proxy.”
Tarar accused the Afghan Taliban of collaborating with the terrorist organization Fitna-al-Khawarij, asserting that the attack violated international law and basic human values. He suggested the attack reflected the Afghan Taliban’s frustration due to setbacks inflicted by Pakistan’s Armed Forces through Operation Ghazb Lil Haq, which targets terrorists and their support infrastructure. Tarar added that Pakistan’s military is providing a strong response to the positions and infrastructure responsible for the attack.
