Acting President Offers Condolences at Norwegian Embassy Following King Harald V’s Passing


Islamabad: Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani visited the Norwegian Ambassador’s residence in Islamabad to express condolences following the death of King Harald V of Norway. He signed the condolence book in the presence of senior embassy officials.



According to Press Information Department, Mr. Gilani conveyed sorrow over King Harald V’s death, extending condolences on behalf of Pakistan’s government and its people to King Haakon VIII, the Royal Family, and the Norwegian populace. He acknowledged King Harald V’s leadership and service, noting his over thirty-five-year tenure marked by wisdom and devotion.



Mr. Gilani emphasized that during this time of mourning, Pakistan’s thoughts and prayers are with the new King Haakon VIII, the Royal Family, and the people of Norway. He offered prayers for the late King’s eternal peace.
