New Delhi, June 19, 2021 (PPI-OT):Indian Minister for Minority Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has said that the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir has paved the way for the development of the territory. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi talking to newsmen in New Delhi said, “People are now feeling that Article 370 was one of the biggest hindrances in the way of the development of Kashmir.”
While responding to a query whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be chairing an all-party meet with leaders of Kashmir next week, he said, “The people of Kashmir are being included in the development process with dignity. They are part of the developmental process now.” “Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah constantly are in touch with the people in J and K and accordingly resolve their concerns,” he added.
PM Modi is likely to chair an all-party meet with leaders of Jammu and Kashmir next week sources said on Saturday. Lt Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha held a meeting with Indian Home Minister, Amit Shah on Friday at the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in the Indian capital. In August 2019, the Modi-led Indian regime abrogated Article 370 that gave special status to Kashmir and also bifurcated the erstwhile state into two union territories.
