Abbottabad Alumni Laud Speaker’s Role During Parliament Visit


Islamabad: A delegation from the Alumni Association of Abbottabad Public School visited the Parliament House and commended Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq for his impartial leadership. The alumni group, known for its contributions across various sectors, met with the Speaker to discuss parliamentary processes and initiatives.



During the meeting, the delegation received insights into the legislative system, with a focus on the importance of standing committees in national decision-making. The Speaker highlighted the formation of Parliamentary Forums, including the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus and others, aimed at addressing issues concerning women, children, and youth. These initiatives have been extended to different regions, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.



Furthermore, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq spoke about the National Assembly’s Internship Program, established in 2014, which engages youth in understanding democratic values. The delegation expressed their appreciation for the Speaker’s nonpartisan approach and the effective conduct observed during the Assembly’s proceedings.
