40 Islamabad Police Officers Receive Promotions in Recognition of Service

Islamabad: In a move to acknowledge the contributions of law enforcement personnel, 40 officers from the Islamabad Police have been promoted to higher ranks. The promotions were executed under the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry, highlighting the exemplary service rendered by these officers.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the promotions included five Sub-Inspectors and 35 Assistant Sub-Inspectors who were elevated to the next ranks. A ceremony was organized at the Central Police Office in Islamabad where IGP Chaudhry, along with DIG Headquarters Muhammad Jawad Tariq, DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem, and other senior officials, formally conferred the new ranks. The IGP and other senior officers congratulated the newly promoted officers and extended their best wishes for the increased responsibilities they now hold.

During the event, IGP Islamabad emphasized that the promotions were a testament to the officers’ commitment and service to the department. He reminded the officers of their enhanced responsibilities and urged them to execute their duties with integrity and dedication. He also highlighted the importance of maintaining courteous interactions with citizens while ensuring efficient police services and resolving public grievances promptly. The IGP reiterated the priority of protecting citizens’ lives and property as a core mission of the Islamabad Police.

Additionally, officers from the Operations Division, Saddar Zone, who demonstrated exceptional performance in crime prevention and citizen protection, were invited to the Central Police Office. In recognition of their efforts, they received commendation certificates from the IGP. The IGP noted that such acknowledgments not only honor diligent officers but also encourage the entire police force to pursue their duties with renewed vigor and responsibility.
