261 new cases of corona detected, no death reported 

Karachi, December 03, 2021 (PPI-OT):Fortunately, no death stemming from Coronavirus reported on yesterday, however 261 new cases emerged when 12,190 tests were conducted. This was stated by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in a statement issued here from CM House on Friday. Mr Shah said that fortunately no death was reported on Friday. He added that till last Thursday the number death and was 7,622. Mr. Shah said that 12,190 samples were tested which detected 261 cases that constituted 2.1 percent current detection rate.

He added that so far 6,782,718 tests have been conducted against which 475,421 cases were diagnosed, of them 97.3 percent or 462,675 patients have recovered, including 18 overnight. The CM said that currently 5,124 patients were under treatment, of them 4,926 were in home isolation, 16 at isolation centres and 182 at different hospitals. He added that the condition of 180 patients was stated to be critical, including 15 shifted to ventilators.

According to the statement, out of 261 new cases, 50 have been detected from Karachi, including 27 from East, 16 South, three Central, Malir and West one each. Matiari has 25, Tando Muhammad Khan 23, Umerkot 23, Sanghar 21, Thatta 20, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas and Tando Allahyar 17 each, Shaheed Benazirabad 15, Badin 12, Jamshoro nine, Larkana and Tharparkar five each.

Vaccination: Sharing vaccination data the CM said that 24, 421,531 vaccinations have been administered upto November 2nd, and added during the last 24 hours 149,727 vaccines were inoculated – in total 24,571,258 vaccines have administered. The chief minister urged people of the province to follow SOPs.
