Astana: The 24th meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions was conducted in Astana, focusing on interfaith and intercultural dialogue. Participants included representatives from six international organizations, government officials, and experts from 20 countries.
According to Radio Pakistan, Yerlan Karin, Vice President of Kazakhstan and Chair of the Secretariat, presided over the forum. He stressed the significance of spiritual diplomacy in the context of increasing global instability. The Congress, which began in 2003 in Astana, is Kazakhstan’s foremost international platform for promoting dialogue among diverse religious and cultural groups.
During the meeting, the forum adopted three international documents. These included the “Code of Ethics for the Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Religious Sphere,” the “Role of Religions in Combating Climate Change,” and the “Charter of the Rights of Terminally ill Child,” reflecting the Congress’s commitment to addressing contemporary global challenges.
