13 Individuals Arrested in Islamabad as Police Recover Drugs and Weapons

ISLAMABAD: In a significant operation aimed at curbing criminal activities, the Islamabad Police have apprehended 13 individuals and recovered a cache of drugs and weapons. The arrests were made by police teams from the Margalla, Golra, Sabzi Mandi, Shams Colony, Khana, and Lohi Bher police stations.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operation resulted in the seizure of 343 grams of ice (methamphetamine), 36 bottles of liquor, and four pistols with ammunition. Legal proceedings against the suspects have commenced, and investigations are ongoing to uncover further details about their activities.

The arrests were part of a special campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, leading to the detention of five additional criminals. This initiative aligns with the directives of Islamabad Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to maintain law and order in the federal capital.

SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the police force’s commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens, stating that maintaining public peace is their top priority. The police have also called on citizens to report any suspicious activities to local police stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to enhance cooperation between the police and the community in eradicating crime.
