Imphal, June 14, 2023 (PPI-OT): Eleven villagers were killed and 25 others were injured in fresh violence in volatile Manipur state of India. Eleven people were killed and over two dozens were injured in the clash between Indian forces and Manipur guerrillas at Khamelock in Imphal East district of the state.

Heavily armed guerrillas attacked in Khamelock killing eleven people on the spot and injuring 25 others. The injured were immediately taken to various hospitals. Death toll is likely to increase as the condition of several of the wounded is stated to be critical.
