Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in Islamabad hosted a high-level delegation from the World Bank, including Country Director Mr. Najy Benhassine, to discuss ongoing reforms and the transformation of Pakistan’s revenue services. The meeting centered around the FBR Transformation Plan, which aims to enhance tax compliance and maximize revenue growth through various reforms.
According to Press Information Department, Mr. Rashid Mahmood Langrial, Chairman of the FBR, provided a detailed briefing on the government’s vision and the approved transformation strategy, which includes tax policy reforms, digitalization, capacity building, and anti-smuggling measures. The World Bank delegation, expressing strong support for these initiatives, pledged continued assistance to Pakistan’s efforts in improving its revenue systems.
