Islamabad: The Women’s Parliamentary Caucus (WPC) has convened a pivotal meeting to strategize for the “Pakistan Women Leaders and Convention on National Women’s Day 2025.” The gathering marked a significant step toward promoting gender equality. The session, led by Dr. Shahida Rehmani, Secretary of the WPC, involved key figures such as MNA Ms. Shahida Begum, Treasurer of the WPC, and representatives from UN Women and the European Union.
According to a statement by National Assembly of Pakistan, Dr. Shahida Rehmani emphasized the WPC’s commitment to empowering women across political lines. Her leadership has been instrumental in guiding the Caucus toward initiatives that aim to enhance gender equality throughout the nation. The meeting focused on strategic planning as a critical element in achieving these objectives.
