Islamabad: Women serving in the Islamabad Police have been recognized as both a source of pride and a valuable asset, according to Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. On International Women’s Day, Rizvi emphasized the significant contributions of women officers in maintaining law and order within the capital.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, Rizvi highlighted the effectiveness of the Women Police Station and the Digital Women Police Station in addressing and resolving the concerns of women citizens efficiently. The initiative aims to provide immediate assistance and ensure an effective system for resolving issues faced by women.
Rizvi noted that the contributions of women in the police force are comparable to those of their male counterparts. Women officers in Islamabad Police are actively involved in various departments, working alongside male officers in law and order, crime control, and community policing.
The IGP stressed the importance of providing a conducive working environment for women officers, emphasizing equal opportunities and safety as essential elements for social progress. He also paid tribute to the families of the martyrs and ghazis of Islamabad Police, acknowledging their sacrifices.
Islamabad Police continues to prioritize the integration and empowerment of women within its ranks, recognizing their crucial role in the department’s overall success.
