Srinagar, July 29, 2023 (PPI-OT):A woman was killed while several houses and other structures were damaged in various rain-related incidents in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. An elderly woman, Kisho Devi, died after a mudslide hit her house and it collapsed in Ramnagar area of Udhampur district.
Several residential houses, a government school, and a mosque were damaged after a cloudburst hit Gujar Pati Prang area of Ganderbal district. A massive flash flood triggered by a cloudburst washed away a foot bridge in Kaljugasar area of Gandoh in Doda district. As per reports, several villages were cut off due to the drowning of concrete footbridge. Meanwhile, the Mughal Road, connecting Kashmir Valley’s Shopian district with Jammu’s twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch, was closed near Poshana area due to landslide.
