Westerly Wave to Bring Rain, Thunderstorms, and Snowfall to Balochistan and Upper Regions

Islamabad: The National Weather Forecasting Centre has predicted the arrival of a westerly wave expected to bring significant weather changes to various regions of the country. This weather system is anticipated to impact western parts starting the night of November 28th, bringing moderate rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall to several areas.

According to National Weather Forecasting Centre – Islamabad, moderate rain and thunderstorms, with snowfall expected over the hills, are forecasted for Quetta, Pishin, Qilla Saifullah, Zhob, Shirani, Musa Khel, Barkhan, Ziarat, Loralai, and Dera Ghazi Khan on the night of November 28th and continuing into November 29th and December 2nd. The same weather conditions are expected in Gawadar, Kech, Panjgur, Awaran, Kalat, Khuzdar, and Lasbella on similar dates.

Furthermore, light to moderate rain and thunderstorms, with snowfall over mountainous areas, are likely in Waziristan, Kurrum, Mohmand, Khyber, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Buner, Shangla, Manshera, Abbottabad, Kohistan, Astore, Ghizer, Gilgit, Hunza, Skardu, Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Kotli, Haveli, and Bagh from the evening of November 29th to December 2nd, with occasional breaks.

Additionally, the Pothohar region, Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad, Mianwali, Bhakkar, and Layyah can expect light rain or drizzle on the evening of November 29th and December 2nd.
