Islamabad: The Meteorological Office has forecast a series of rain, wind, and thunderstorms in various regions, with some areas potentially experiencing hailstorms and snowfall over high mountains. A strong westerly wave is approaching the western and upper parts of the country, which is expected to bring significant weather changes.
The Met Office predicts widespread rain and thunderstorms, accompanied by snow over the mountains, in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. These regions may experience heavy rainfall in some areas.
In the northwestern territories, including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, and Abbottabad, rain and thunderstorms are expected. There is also a forecast for hailstorms and snow over the high mountains.
Further predictions indicate rain and thunderstorms, with occasional hailstorms, in Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Hafizabad, and Gujranwala.
