The confrontation took place between the eastern edge of Imphal, the state capital, and the Kangpokpi district. The injured were promptly taken to a hospital in Imphal for treatment. Among the wounded, one individual suffered bomb shrapnel injuries to the face, while another was hit in the thigh, as reported by a police officer.
