‘Uraan Pakistan’ Initiative Aims to Elevate Social Justice and Inclusion


Islamabad: The government has launched a new initiative, ‘Uraan Pakistan,’ aimed at promoting equality and ethics to create a more inclusive society, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif announced in a statement on Thursday. The announcement coincides with the International Day of Social Justice, a day dedicated to raising awareness about social justice issues worldwide and encouraging efforts to combat poverty, unemployment, and social exclusion.



According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the ‘Uraan Pakistan’ program is a digital platform that integrates a social welfare system designed to help persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups access tailored support services efficiently. This initiative aligns with the government’s broader commitment to protecting the rights of its citizens and eliminating biases and prejudices that hinder progress.



Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the necessity of addressing critical issues such as poverty, gender inequality, and discrimination. He underscored the importance of fostering inclusive societies that guarantee equal rights and opportunities for all individuals. The Prime Minister’s message highlights the government’s ongoing efforts to build a society where social justice is prioritized and every citizen can thrive.
