OIC to Convene Extraordinary Meeting on Gaza Amid Regional Talks


New York: An extraordinary meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries is set to take place in Jeddah on March 7, Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar announced. The meeting will focus on the situation in Gaza, with Dar set to represent Pakistan.



According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dar revealed this during a news conference in New York. He mentioned that Arab leaders are anticipated to meet on the Gaza situation on February 27, followed by Gulf leaders on March 5, leading up to the OIC CFM meeting.



During his visit, Dar also engaged with the Pakistani diaspora, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to advocating for its positions on the Kashmir and Palestine issues.
