Two Members of Snatcher Gang Arrested in Islamabad

Islamabad: The Islamabad Police have arrested two wanted members of a snatcher gang allegedly involved in numerous thefts across the city, authorities announced. The arrests were part of a larger crackdown on criminal activity in the federal capital, leading to a notable decrease in serious offenses.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests were made by the Sumbal police station team, which also recovered looted cash, mobile phones, and a weapon with ammunition used in the crimes. Cases have been registered against the accused, and an investigation is ongoing. The crackdown, initiated under the directives of DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, targets individuals involved in robberies, street crimes, and other serious offenses.

The Islamabad Police have been conducting extensive operations throughout the city, which have contributed to a significant reduction in crime. DIG Tariq has instructed officers to persist in their efforts to apprehend those responsible for depriving citizens of their valuable assets.
