Islamabad: Islamabad Police have apprehended two individuals accused of stealing mobile phones and cash from attendants of patients at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital. The arrests were made by the Karachi Company police team and involved members of a group known as the “Makhi Gang.”

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operation led to the recovery of eight stolen mobile phones and a sum of cash from the suspects. During the initial investigation, the accused admitted to their participation in several theft incidents at the PIMS hospital parking area and other locations. The investigation is ongoing as authorities seek to uncover further details.

DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq praised the police team’s efforts in successfully conducting the operation. He urged officers to continue their efforts against criminal elements, emphasizing that the protection of citizens’ lives and property must remain a primary focus. DIG Tariq reiterated the commitment of Islamabad Police to combatting crime and ensuring law and order in the federal capital through all available resources.
