Twelve Terrorists Neutralized in Clashes in North and South Waziristan


Peshawar: In two separate military engagements on September 19 and 20, security forces in North and South Waziristan Districts encountered and eliminated twelve terrorists. The operations also resulted in the tragic loss of six soldiers.



According to Inter Services Public Relations, the first incident occurred in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan, where security forces intercepted a group of seven terrorists attempting to cross the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. The terrorists were encircled and neutralized following a heavy exchange of fire. Security forces also recovered a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the deceased.



The second confrontation took place in the Ladha area of South Waziristan, where a terrorist group launched an attack on a security post. The assault was repelled with the loss of five terrorists. During the intense firefight, six soldiers exhibited remarkable bravery but were martyred.



Following these incidents, sanitization operations have been intensified in the region to locate and eliminate any remaining threats. The sacrifices of the fallen soldiers have reinforced the military’s determination to eradicate terrorism from Pakistan.
