ISLAMABAD: Türkiye’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Irfan Neziroglu, emphasized the importance of Pakistan’s stability for the collective strength of the Muslim Ummah during a meeting with Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, in Islamabad. The meeting, which took place today, centered on enhancing bilateral relations, interfaith harmony, and cooperation in religious and cultural sectors.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Neziroglu highlighted the long-standing fraternal ties between Türkiye and Pakistan, describing them as an invaluable asset for both nations. He noted that Türkiye has supported Pakistan through over 700 welfare and development projects, underscoring the commitment to various sectors. The Ambassador also acknowledged Pakistan’s contributions to peace efforts in the Middle East, stressing the necessity of unity among Muslim countries to tackle global challenges.
The discussion underscored both countries’ desire to deepen relations at both governmental and people-to-people levels while advancing mutual goals of development and regional cooperation. Minister Yousaf emphasized the historical, religious, and cultural ties between the two nations, bound by shared values and spiritual heritage. He commended Türkiye’s leadership role in promoting peace in the Middle East and briefed the Turkish envoy on Pakistan’s regional and international peace contributions.
