Turkish Land Forces Commander Engages in High-Level Meetings in Pakistan


RAWALPINDI: General Metin Tokel, Commander of the Turkish Land Forces, engaged in a series of high-level meetings with Pakistan’s military leadership, discussing key issues including regional security and defense collaboration. The meetings, held at various military headquarters, underscored the strategic partnership between Turkey and Pakistan.



According to Radio Pakistan, General Tokel met with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces, at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. The leaders explored mutual professional interests and regional security dynamics, while also considering avenues for enhanced bilateral defense cooperation. Field Marshal Munir emphasized the historical and strategic ties between the two nations and praised the robust defense partnership between their armed forces.



In addition to the meeting in Rawalpindi, General Tokel visited Naval Headquarters in Islamabad, where he conferred with Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf. The discussions centered on professional interests and the regional maritime security environment. General Tokel also met with Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, at Air Headquarters in Islamabad, focusing on bilateral military cooperation and professional interests.
