ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed optimism that his recent visit to Türkiye would bolster the longstanding relations between the two nations. He highlighted the enthusiasm of Turkish investors and business leaders in investing in Pakistan’s energy, mining, and minerals sectors.

According to Radio Pakistan, during a Federal Cabinet meeting in Islamabad, Prime Minister Sharif briefed the cabinet on the outcomes of his recent trips to Türkiye and Iran. He shared that Turkish investors have shown significant interest in Pakistan’s key sectors.

The Prime Minister also attended the funeral ceremonies of Iran’s late Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, with a Pakistani delegation. Additionally, he honored the bravery of Pakistan Air Force Group Captain Asim Tariq, who was martyred while saving a woman’s life in Islamabad. The Prime Minister assured that the accused involved in the incident has been apprehended and will face justice.

Shehbaz Sharif commended the security forces for their continued efforts against terrorism, referencing the recent killing of 15 terrorists in Balochistan. He expressed confidence that terrorism will soon be eradicated from Pakistan. The cabinet collectively offered Fateha for the security personnel who lost their lives in the fight against terrorism.
