Kolkata, A Trinamool Congress worker was shot dead in Murshidabad, West Bengal, sparking tensions in the area.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred when Sanatan Ghosh, a Trinamool Congress worker, was returning home from Ghazipur to Para village on a motorbike on Sunday night. He was stopped by assailants who shot him at close range.
Local residents, alerted by the sound of gunshots and screams, found Ghosh in a pool of blood. He was immediately taken to Hariharpara Block Primary Health Centre, where doctors referred him to Murshidabad Medical College Hospital in Baharampur. Despite efforts to save him, Ghosh succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The Trinamool Congress has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of being involved in the killing, further heightening tensions in the area.
