Three Members of Snatchers Gang Arrested in Islamabad; Valuables Recovered

Islamabad: In a concerted effort to combat criminal activity in the federal capital, the Islamabad Police announced the arrest of three members of a notorious snatchers gang, as part of their ongoing operations to maintain law and order. The operation, conducted by the Golra police station, resulted in the recovery of stolen motorcycles, mobile phones, and weapons used in criminal activities.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests were made following directives from the Inspector General of Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, emphasizing the need for rigorous action against criminal elements to protect the lives and property of citizens. The detained individuals were found to be involved in a range of serious offenses, including shop robberies and motorcycle snatching, and have confessed to multiple criminal incidents in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Deputy Inspector General Muhammad Jawad Tariq highlighted the police’s commitment to large-scale operations against organized crime, stressing that citizen safety remains a top priority. He encouraged the public to report suspicious activities to the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” or the nearest police station, to contribute to building a safer community.
