Terrorist Attack on Pakistan Naval Base Thwarted, One Soldier Martyred


Rawalpindi, A terrorist attack aimed at the Pakistan Naval Base, PNS Siddique in Turbat, was successfully repelled by swift action from the troops on the night of 25/26 March 2024. The attempted assault prompted an immediate and coordinated response from security forces, ensuring the safety of personnel and the base’s assets.



According to Inter Services Public Relations, the effective collaboration between naval and nearby security forces led to the neutralization of all four terrorists involved in the attempted breach through a joint clearance operation. However, the confrontation was not without sacrifice. Sepoy Noman Fareed, a 24-year-old member of the Frontier Corps Balochistan from Muzaffargarh, was martyred in the exchange of fire. His bravery and commitment to duty were highlighted as exemplary in the face of terrorism.



The aftermath of the attack has prompted a thorough sanitization operation within the area to secure it against any remaining terrorist threats. This incident underscores the ongoing challenges faced by Pakistan in combatting terrorism and the armed forces’ resolve to eradicate this menace from the country.
