HANGU: Ten police personnel, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police, were killed, and thirty-three others injured, when terrorists attacked a police check post in the Hazina Banda area of Hangu district last night. According to Hangu Police Control, several terrorists were also killed in the attack.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued strong condemnations of the terrorist attack by Fitna al-Khawarij, as reported by Radio Pakistan. In their separate statements, they expressed grief over the loss of the Deputy Superintendent of Police and other personnel.

The President and the Prime Minister extended their condolences to the bereaved families and offered prayers for the departed souls. They also reaffirmed the government’s determination to eliminate terrorism in all its forms from the country.
