Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has issued a detailed Compendium of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) designed to enhance efficiency, transparency, and consistency in judicial and administrative operations.
According to Press Information Department, the Compendium, approved by the Chief Justice of Pakistan, consolidates SOPs, office orders, and policy guidelines. These cover various aspects such as case management, public interaction, internal governance, protocols, and the management of infrastructure and operations. The document aims to standardize essential processes including case fixation, case processing timelines, digitization and e-filing, early hearing mechanisms, and the handling of jail petitions, all intended to boost efficiency and minimize delays.
The Compendium aims to improve litigant facilitation and grievance redressal systems while introducing organized administrative and safety protocols to ensure continuous and effective court operations. This initiative underscores the Supreme Court’s dedication to institutional strengthening, process standardization, and the delivery of efficient, citizen-focused justice.
