Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to transparency in public expenditure and institutional quality management through specialized in-house training programs on Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) Rules and Standardization and Quality Management Systems (SandQMS).

According to Press Information Department, a ceremony held at the Supreme Court of Pakistan marked the conclusion of these training sessions, with attendance by the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan, the Registrar, Supreme Court of Pakistan; Managing Director, Public Procurement Regulatory Authority; Director General (Reforms), Supreme Court of Pakistan; Secretary, Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan, SandQMS consultants; and officers and officials of the Court.

Addressing the participants, the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan highlighted the importance of transparent procurement practices, standardized administrative systems, and robust quality management mechanisms as essential components for ensuring institutional integrity, accountability, and efficient utilization of public resources. He stressed the need for modern judicial institutions to adopt internationally recognized governance and management standards to enhance public trust and improve service delivery.

The ongoing reform agenda of the Supreme Court is focused on strengthening institutional systems through transparency, digitization, process standardization, performance optimization, and professionalization of administrative and judicial functions. Effective financial governance and rule-based procurement mechanisms were identified as indispensable elements of a credible and citizen-centric justice sector.

The Hon’ble Chief Justice acknowledged the support from Public Procurement Regulatory Authority and SandQMS consultants and emphasized the need to extend such capacity-building initiatives to the High Courts and district judiciary to promote uniform governance standards and enhance institutional performance across the justice sector.

Certificates were distributed among officers and officials who successfully completed the specialized training programs during the ceremony.
