Islamabad: Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, emphasized the proactive role of lawyers in fortifying democratic principles and upholding the rule of law, during a meeting with the Executive Committee of the High Court Bar Association Hyderabad. The meeting took place at the Parliament House, where the establishment of a Legislative Drafting Council was announced, aimed at enhancing legislative drafting through the recruitment of experienced individuals based on merit.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Speaker Sadiq engaged with the delegation to address challenges faced by the legal fraternity, discussing their professional development and welfare. He underscored the critical contributions of lawyers in strengthening democratic institutions and encouraged closer cooperation between Parliament and the legal community.

During the meeting, the delegation expressed appreciation for Speaker Sadiq’s efforts in reinforcing parliamentary institutions and fostering engagement with the legal sector. Sadiq assured that the concerns raised by the delegation would be duly considered. The delegation included Acting President Ms. Rehana Gujar and other key members of the High Court Bar Association Hyderabad’s Executive Committee.
