Islamabad: In a strategic move aimed at enhancing the safety of foreign nationals, the Special Protection Unit (SPU) of Islamabad convened an important meeting to reassess and fortify security protocols, particularly for Chinese citizens residing in the city. The meeting, held under the guidance of SP Special Protection Unit Mehfooz Kayani, was a direct response to instructions from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting gathered relevant officers from the SPU to scrutinize the current security measures and operational protocols. The primary focus was the protection of Chinese citizens, reviewing their security during movement, and addressing any potential vulnerabilities. SP Mehfooz Kayani stressed the importance of ensuring the safety of foreign nationals, urging officers to execute their duties with professionalism and heightened vigilance.

During the session, a range of proposals were put forward to enhance security measures. SP Kayani issued directives aimed at bolstering protective strategies, emphasizing the need for maximum security during the transit and accommodation of foreign nationals. These initiatives are part of a broader effort to ensure a robust security presence and safeguard international residents in Islamabad.
