Islamabad: In a move to foster community engagement and address public grievances, the Superintendent of Police (SP) City Zone conducted a Khuli Katcheri within the jurisdiction of Karachi Company Police Station. The open court, held on the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, saw participation from SDPOs, SHOs, and community members.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the session aimed to provide a platform for citizens to present their issues and offer suggestions for improvement. SP City Zone responded with on-the-spot orders to officers regarding pending issues and assured the implementation of participant suggestions. The initiative is part of a broader strategy directed by IGP Islamabad to maintain direct contact with citizens and resolve local issues promptly.
The SP emphasized the importance of public cooperation in combatting land grabbing, crime, and drug trafficking, stating that police efforts are ineffective without community support. Attendees were encouraged to report suspicious activities to the police, and the role of public vigilance was highlighted as crucial to achieving meaningful results. The session concluded with community members expressing their appreciation for the initiative, acknowledging the efforts of IGP Islamabad and SP City Zone in bridging the gap between the police and the public.
