KOHAT: The Counter Terrorism Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Lachi area of Kohat district, resulting in the death of six terrorists associated with the group Fitna-al-Khwarij.

According to Radio Pakistan, the operation was a joint effort by the CTD and local police forces. During the operation, authorities recovered a significant cache of arms and ammunition from the terrorists.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have commended the personnel of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and the Counter Terrorism Department for their role in the operation. In a statement, the President emphasized that the elimination of these terrorists is a crucial step towards achieving peace. The Prime Minister reiterated his commitment to eradicating terrorism in all its forms across the country.
