Wana: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has dismissed claims made by the Afghan Taliban’s so-called Ministry of Defence regarding an alleged successful strike in the region of Wana. The Ministry clarified that a basic drone was neutralized over South Waziristan using soft-kill techniques, without any damage to military installations or infrastructure.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting communicated via its X handle, emphasizing that the assertions made by the Taliban regime are consistent with a pattern of spreading propaganda and fabricated narratives. This includes recent unfounded claims about downing Pakistan Air Force aircraft and capturing pilots. The Ministry further substantiated its stance by sharing an image of the drone debris on the social media platform, reinforcing the assertion that truth prevails over misinformation.
