Sindh Governor Unveils Ambitious IT Education Plans at Karachi Press Club Iftar

Karachi, Governor of Sindh Kamran Khan Tesori graced the annual Iftar dinner of the Karachi Press Club, unveiling an ambitious plan to expand IT education across the province. Attended by prominent journalists and Dost Malik, the Consul General of China, the event underscored the Governor’s commitment to enhancing the digital skills of the youth in Sindh.

According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori announced that following the successful establishment of an IT University in the Governor’s House, the initiative is set to broaden its reach beyond Karachi. Around 25 lakh children are expected to benefit from online and on-site IT courses, which will be standardized across the province under the banner of ‘Sindh IT’. The Governor also expressed a commitment to urban development, promising the construction of 100-storey buildings in collaboration with the private sector.

Governor Tesori praised the Karachi Press Club’s role in fostering thoughtful discourse and suggested that the institution should be leveraged as a think tank. He attended the event not only in his official capacity but also as a member, emphasizing the collaborative relationship between the press and political figures.
