Sindh Governor Praises Rotary International at Rotary Hopecon 2024 Annual Conference


Karachi, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori attended the Rotary Hopecon 2024 annual conference on April 27. He was welcomed by key Rotary International leaders, including Muhammad Faiz Qadwai, the Rotary International Presidents’ representative, District Governor Rotary International Muhammad Hanif Khan, Chair District Conference Shahzad Sabir, and Chief Advisor Rotary International Rear Admiral Tanveer Ahmed.



According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori commended Rotary International’s commitment and tireless dedication to humanitarian efforts. He noted that the organization’s presence in over 200 countries, with a membership exceeding 1.4 million people, is an encouraging sign of global cooperation. The Governor highlighted Rotary’s efforts to combat climate change and acknowledged initiatives such as building four Smart Villages for flood victims, tree planting, water and sanitation projects, and other significant undertakings.



He also praised Rotary’s youth programs, including Rotaract and Interact, as well as educational and conservation projects. Governor Tesori expressed the importance of helping each other and stated that the Governor’s House in Sindh has been opened to the public. He added that 50,000 children are currently receiving IT courses and outlined a goal to extend these courses to one million children in the future.



The Governor’s remarks reflected a positive outlook on Rotary’s role in addressing pressing societal issues, underlining the need for collective action to support humanitarian causes and community development.
