Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesuri emphasized the critical role of China’s advanced technology in accelerating development and prosperity in the region, during his speech at the 75th National Day celebrations of the People’s Republic of China. The event, marked by a cake-cutting ceremony and expressions of deep bilateral ties, was held in Karachi on September 25.
According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesuri praised China’s cooperation in ongoing projects and noted the importance of modern, innovation-driven development initiatives. His remarks came during a ceremony attended by prominent figures including the Chinese Consul General Yang Yundong and other diplomatic staff. The Governor underscored the celebration as a testament to the strong and sustainable relations between China and Pakistan, highlighting their shared achievements and enduring friendship.
Governor Tesuri extended his congratulations to the Chinese people on their National Day, describing the event as a celebration of Chinese national achievements and the symbolic manifestation of the Pakistan-China friendship, which he described as “higher than the Himalayas and deeper than the sea.” He took the opportunity to invite investors from China and other nations to invest in Sindh, citing the province’s excellent environment and profitable sectors, supported by initiatives like the SIFC scheme to assist investors.
The celebrations in Karachi also featured decorative displays and lighting at prominent locations near the Governor’s House, including the Press Club Chowk (Fountain Chowk), enhancing the festive atmosphere. The Governor reiterated the unmatched strength of the Pakistan-China relationship, celebrating the joyous occasion alongside the nation.
