KARACHI: In a move aimed at propelling Sindh towards a digitally advanced future, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah unveiled a series of initiatives including a Google Gemini AI training program for government officials, the launch of 20,000 Google Career Certificate scholarships for university students, and the inauguration of the province’s first Google Gemini for Education Corner. These projects highlight the Sindh government’s focus on embracing technological innovation and equipping the youth with essential digital skills.
According to Chief Minister Sindh, the initiatives were developed in collaboration with Google and Tech Valley Pakistan, indicating a strategic approach to integrate emerging technologies into governance while providing young people with globally recognized digital competencies. The programs were attended by key figures such as provincial ministers, senior government officials, and representatives from educational institutions and the tech industry.
The Google Gemini AI training program was introduced to cabinet members and senior officials, with practical demonstrations conducted by certified trainers. Chief Minister Shah emphasized the transformative potential of AI in government operations, promoting efficiency and transparency. He encouraged officials to explore AI’s applications in enhancing public service delivery and improving decision-making processes.
The announcement of 20,000 Google Career Certificate scholarships was a significant step in supporting the digital education of students across public-sector universities in Sindh.
