SIFC Revitalizes Pakistan’s Mining Sector with Reactivation of Licenses


Islamabad: Special Investment Facilitation Council’s concerted efforts have led to the revitalization of Pakistan’s mining sector by promoting investment and reissuing mining licenses in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.



According to Radio Pakistan, mining licenses, which had been suspended since March 2024, have now been reactivated through the strategically coordinated efforts of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). Officials have indicated that this development is expected to result in substantial growth in investment, as well as research and development activities within the mining sector.



The reactivation of mining licenses is anticipated to foster economic growth and generate employment by leveraging the mineral resources of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
