SIFC Drives Energy Sector Development with Key Discoveries


Islamabad: The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) is making strides in the development of the energy sector with significant advancements in oil and gas production. The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), supported by SIFC, has successfully restored production from a well in Sindh, yielding 115 barrels of oil, 7 million standard cubic feet of gas, and 21 metric tons of LPG per day.



In a parallel development, Mari Energies has announced the discovery of new hydrocarbon reserves in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This marks the company’s third consecutive success in the region. Production in the Waziristan block of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has commenced, delivering 23.85 million standard cubic feet of gas and 122 barrels of condensate gas each day.



These discoveries and restorations underscore the potential growth in Pakistan’s energy sector, as facilitated by SIFC’s ongoing efforts.
