Lahore: In a commanding display during the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier warm-up match, Pakistan triumphed over Thailand by 7 wickets, showcasing their skill at the LCCA ground in Lahore.
The match saw Thailand struggle against Pakistan’s disciplined bowling attack, as they were bowled out for 78 runs in just 28.2 overs. Nashra Sandhu spearheaded the attack with a remarkable performance, claiming 4 wickets for only 11 runs. Diana Baig and Rameen Shamim also contributed effectively, taking 2 wickets each.
In response, Pakistan chased down the target efficiently, completing the run chase in 18.5 overs with the loss of 3 wickets. Gull Feroza led the batting with 28 runs, supported by Shawal Zulfiqar’s contribution of 16 runs.
Aliya Riaz and Sidra Ameen ensured Pakistan’s victory, both remaining not out with 14 runs each, sealing the win comfortably.
