Shabbir Shah Acknowledges Pakistan’s Support for Kashmir Cause from Indian Jail

New Delhi, From the confines of Tihar Jail, senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leader Shabbir Ahmad Shah expressed his gratitude towards the people and Government of Pakistan for their unwavering support of the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination. Shah’s message, a testament to the solidarity between Pakistan and the Kashmiri people, was shared in observance of February 5th as Kashmir Solidarity Day, highlighting Pakistan’s efforts towards a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in line with United Nations resolutions.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Shah recalled the historical context of the Kashmir dispute, stemming from the Indian Independence Act of 1947, which was violated by India’s illegal occupation of the territory. He commended Pakistan’s consistent efforts to address the Kashmir issue in accordance with the wishes of its people, against the backdrop of Indian imperialism and fascism.

Shah’s message underscores the deep-rooted support from Pakistan for Kashmir’s freedom movement, amidst India’s continued illegal occupation since 1947. He voiced his hope that Pakistan would persist in its role as a steadfast ally, advocate, and ambassador of peace for the Kashmiri cause until their aspirations for freedom are fully realized.
