Senator Vawda Criticizes PTI Protests Amid Economic Improvements

Islamabad: Senator Faisal Vawda condemned the PTI’s recent calls for protests, arguing that such actions are unwarranted at a time when the country is hosting the SCO heads of government meeting and experiencing economic recovery. During a press conference in Islamabad, Vawda expressed concern over the PTI founding chairman’s desire for confrontation.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Vawda highlighted that the national economy is showing signs of improvement, questioning the timing and rationale behind the protests. He emphasized that with the country on a path to economic stabilization, public demonstrations could undermine progress.

The Senator also noted that the issues concerning Independent Power Producers (IPPs) are expected to be resolved shortly through the Special Investment Facilitation Council, which aims to alleviate consumer burdens. Vawda’s remarks suggest a call for political stability and economic focus as Pakistan navigates significant diplomatic and economic activities this month.
